Pitched and won Google UK and this campaign was our first work. We were asked to create an emotional connection between the brand their audience - as opposed to just a transactional relationship. Rather than create work that was about searching for sourdough recipes or a place to dry clean your shirts, we wrote about the deeply personal and confessional way we can interact with Google to explore the big stuff in our lives. Things we can ask the search bar that we may never feel able to ask our friends or family. How Google can be there at moments of heightened emotion - like this summer. As we seek the freedoms we've been denied so long - we can't cut loose from trepidation, doubts and countless questions about what the future holds. Extra proud to have directed this film as well as having written it.
